Partnering with Hygiena™ International has allowed us to share our expert knowledge by producing a 7-part allergen control video series which we hope will support you to check or implement your allergen control plan. Follow our team member Comaine van Zijl over the next few weeks as she focuses on food adverse reactions, allergen management controls, allergen cleaning, validation, verification and on-site testing solutions. We have been assisting our clients on a wide range of allergen related queries since 2004. Including, but not limited to, practical allergen control, allergen labelling, allergen risk assessment, allergen testing results interpretation, VITAL® training and facilitation and when needed crises management. It is interesting to note that the South African allergen regulations, which have been in place since 2010 are amongst the most well developed in the world. Since its inception allergen control and risk-based allergen precautionary labelling have been mandated for products sold in South Africa.
