Anina completed her degree in Food Science at the University of Stellenbosch. In her Honours year of studies she gained experience working with novel food proteins, learning how proteins from various insects and plants could be utilised to replace commonplace animal proteins. She previously assisted a local bakery in managing their food safety systems.
Anina is part of the regulatory team at FACTS, and assists with food-labelling projects and the handling of regulatory-related queries.
When she isn’t scanning through regulations, she enjoys hiking, travelling, baking, and being curled up with a good book.
