I have always had an interest in food. My curious nature led me to study food, and its complex nature. At FACTS I have the opportunity to grow, and to discover more about food every day.

BIOGRAPHY

Jillian is a food scientist who completed her Honours degree in Food Science at the University of Pretoria, with a focus on using a brewery industry by-product to produce a high-fibre snack food.

To expand on her knowledge and interest in food legislation and standards during her time at UP, she also completed an Auditor s Course (FSSC22000: FSMS Auditor/Lead Auditor Training Course (ISO 22000:2005 and ISO 22002 – 1:2009)).

Currently Jillian assists FACTS clients with their consumer assurance projects, as well as consulting on general food science issues.

Jillian unwinds by baking, cooking and spending quality time with loved ones. She also loves animals, and indulges her more adventurous side by going on walks or hikes.
